ATK Solutions has an excellent opportunity for a Fire Risk Consultant / Fire Risk Assessor and you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) reports. The FRAs may be required in listed/graded heritage buildings, buildings of particular design and architectural importance, as well as more conventional office, retail, and of course, residential premises.

Additionally, you may be required to undertake retrospective fire strategies (training provided) of the aforementioned building archetypes as well as fire safety management plans, fire safety audits, occupancy calculations and reviews, and RIBA stage 2, 3, 4 and 6 assessments and reports.

You will also be expected to be able to undertake consultancy work for clients on a more reactive basis offering relevant and high-quality advice/support to suit the client.

Our client prides itself on being able to apply our skills, knowledge, and experience to fire safety projects especially those of a more complex and ambiguous nature requiring pragmatic consideration rather than a more linear approach such as a Type 1,2 or 3 FRA.

You will manage your own diary and clients, the role will be fully remote, home-based and a massive benefit of being able to use train for commuting rather than a car.

Qualifications:-

• Fire Safety Degree (BSc) but is not essential
• CFPA Diploma - Level 4/5 Diploma in Fire Safety

The ideal Fire Risk Consultant / Fire Risk Assessor is expected to posses a wide range of experience in assessment/survey work across a diverse portfolio of building archetypes in the built environment. You will need to demonstrate your understanding of the principles of fire safety in all buildings including relevant or 'in-scope' residential buildings that fall within the scope of the Building Safety Act and more complex commercial buildings as well as mixed occupancy/use buildings of all ages and design layouts.
