Permanent position with immediate start available working as a senior test technician for a company who manufacture test equipment for the automotive sector. The order book is very strong and they have a brand new project at prototype stage as well.

This role will be supervising a small team of technicians whilst also being hands on yourself.

From a leadership point of view someone with experience here would be great but a senior technician looking to make the step up would also work well in this role.

You will be working as part of a team accountable for testing all products. The role will involve commissioning, repair and diagnostic duties. A strong electronics understanding and experience with wiring is required. You will need to be experienced with working from engineering drawings and have experience of working within manufacturing/assembly environments.

The staff on the shop floor work a 4 day week so you will be contracted to work a minimum of a 37.5 hour week Monday - Wednesday 7am - 5pm and Thursday 7am -4:30pm. You will have the opportunity to work overtime if there is an appetite for it. 5 day week is also available if preferred. You will also be entitled to an annual bonus.

In the role you will be working for a global leader within the automotive sector, my client is part of a company who have sites all over the world and close to 50,000 employees. Working for this market leader who have been going for over 90 years now you will be part of a team who design, manufacture and supply equipment for the automotive sectors. You'll be working within a purpose built facility and within assembly you'll be working on one off assemblies to larger batch production.

Job duties will include:
* Managing a team of technicians.
* Carrying out tests on the assembled machinery.
* Assessment, repair and diagnosis of products.
* Commissioning of products.
* Strip and build duties inc wiring.
