Neural Pathways is a rehabilitation service working the community, residential units and in their technological rehabilitation hub, which has an Exomotus 4 gait re-education trainer, an Armotus 4 upper limb robotic trainer, a C mill treadmill gait analysis and education tool, and an Omego plus bike for the use in all our neurological client conditions.

We work with clients with a wide range of neurological conditions to include:

  • Acquired brain injury
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Stroke
  • Neurological Degenerative conditions such as MND and MS
  • Polytrauma clients to include orthopaedic injuries
  • Upper and lower limb amputees

Our clients predominantly have a medico legal case on going, but we also work with clients who fund their rehabilitation themselves. We are known for our client centred values and for offering highly skilled interprofessional rehabilitation. Our therapists are encouraged to think outside of the box, to work innovatively and holistically to deliver life changing sustainable outcomes. 

You must be a great team player and be willing to go that extra mile for your clients and their family. A clean drivers’ licence and car is essential, and knowledge of the medicolegal system is desirable.  You must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar field

What you'll be working:

We can be flexible but you will work a total of 37.5 hours per week.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide clinical advice and therapy / management plans to clients with neurological impairments including knowledge and experience of contemporary treatment techniques.
  • Develop specialist knowledge to inform sound clinical judgements for complex case management.
  • Undertake initial assessment of clinical risk as part of everyday practice, complete risk assessment documentation, report and record as appropriate.
  • Evaluate client progress, reassess, and alter treatment programmes as required
  • Write reports in a range of styles as well as keeping up to date with clinical record keeping.
  • Demonstrate clinical effectiveness by use of evidence-based practice and outcome measures, ensuring that practice is continually updated.
  • Develop the ability to act autonomously, working unsupervised using initiative.
  • Be accountable for own professional actions and recognise own professional boundaries, seeking advice as appropriate and actively participating in clinical supervision.
  • Work within defined departmental and national protocols/policies and professional code of conduct to guarantee quality and safety.
  • Be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for the quality of own work and submit performance data as required.
  • Contribute to service development and audit with senior team members.
  • Be aware of current policies and procedures relating to safeguarding vulnerable adults and understand implications for day to day practice.

What you'll have:

To be successful in this role you need to meet the following requirements

  • Physiotherapy Qualification (BSc or MSc) and full HCPC registration
  • Minimum or 3 to 5 years’ experience
  • Access to own car daily
