DCS Engineer - CCGT Power Station

Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy company to recruit a DCS Engineer for its site in North London.
The DCS Engineer role comes with a starting salary of up to £60,000 + private medical + competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting directly to the EC&I Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Being the site expert for electrical assets and C&I systems
- Leading and supervising a team of EC&I Technicians responsible for pre-planned and reactive maintenance work
- Managing and implementing SIL and Cybersecurity procedures.
- The preparation of technical specifications and execution of site EC&I projects safely and within budget
- Providing technical direction to operations and maintenance personnel and identifying areas of improvements
- Managing high value maintenance contracts
- Directing and supervising on site contractors
- Ensuring HSE compliance at all times.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
- At least 5 years' experience in a heavy process environment/sector (e.g. power station, chemical plant, paper mill, refinery, steel works etc).
- Ideally an IOSH or NEBOSH or Health & Safety Qualification
- Experience with ABB AC160, AC450 and 900xa systems would be hugely beneficial

- Able to work well alone or within a team
