Are you a Bid Coordinator keen to put your skills to good use within the commercial department of a main contractor?

We are delighted to be working with a leading family owned construction company as they look to appoint a Bid Coordinator to join their team as part of their plan to secure a strong future pipeline of works. This role involves working on bid proposals for a variety of projects, fostering relationships with existing and new clients, and playing a vital role in our business growth. 

Working alongside the Business Development Director and Estimating Manager, key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Establish lasting relationships with all current and prospective customers. 
  • Develop a proactive sector strategy for targeting key companies and individuals in line with the business plan. 
  • Actively contacting their current client base to identify new tender opportunities. 
  • Review weekly Glenigan reports & Council Planning Portals to highlight any projects of interest. 
  • Ensuring Compliance with Bid Management Processes. 
  • Delivering Core Services on project bids. 
  • Input to monthly reporting. 
  • Meeting all deadlines for bid return dates and as may be otherwise set by management. 
  • Attend tender launch meetings and participate in brainstorming sessions on how to submit a successful tender. 
  • Completion of the pre-qualification process successfully. 
  • Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes. 
  • Coordinate and review / edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from estimating, planning, construction management, commercial, contract and delivery team. 
  • Utilising Proposal automation software, so experience using would be advantageous. 
  • Document template management in line with Bid Management Processes. 
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Economic and Social Governance, programmes. 

Requirements of the role:

  • A proactive individual with a passion for proposal coordination.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill.
  • Strong time management / prioritisation skills. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
