STEM RECRUITMENT SOLUTIONS are looking for a detail-oriented with experience in warehouse operations? We are looking for a dedicated Materials & Distribution Officer to join our client’s team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse functions, from material reception and stock distribution to picking, packing, and dispatching finished goods. The client, a leading medical device organization, distributes products worldwide, making this an exciting opportunity to be part of a globally recognized company.

Position: Materials & Distribution Officer
Location: Penicuik

Hours:Day shift 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Salary: £25k per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Reception: Book procured materials into the inventory management system, including biological, chemical, and various other components.
  • Packing and Dispatch: Prepare, pack, and dispatch shipments of goods manufactured onsite, adhering to Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards while meeting customer requirements.
  • Stock Distribution: Distribute materials to internal customers using a warehouse ticketing system, ensuring inventory accuracy by updating TROPOS.
  • Warehouse Management: Perform tasks such as stock checking, replenishment, FEFO (First Expiration, First Out) management, and material disposal to maintain efficient warehouse operations.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements, Health & Safety policies, and GMP principles.
  • Continuous Training: Participate in ongoing training and assessment to maintain an up-to-date and accurate training record.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain precise records of all work performed, ensuring compliance with GDP, GMP, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a warehouse or materials management role, ideally within a regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, is an advantage.
  • Understanding of GMP and GDP principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a service-focused team.
