Contek Recruitment are currently working with one of the UK’s leading Injection Moulding and Mould Tooling companies, who are located in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

Due to company growth, they are on the hunt for an experienced Injection Mould Toolmaker to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Manufacture and modification of Injection Mould Tooling in a modern, well equipped toolroom.
• Utilising manual machinery, such as millers and lathes.
• CNC milling using Hurco machining centres.
• EDM machining using Sodick wire eroders and Sodick CNC spark eroders.
• Surface grinding using ​​Jones & Shipman surface grinders.
• In-house design using Pro Engineer and CAM programming using Powermill.
• Manufacture and fitting of new injection mould tools.
• Using hand tools such as files, hacksaws and grinders.
• Wiring of hot runner systems and fault finding.
• Modification of Injection Mould Tools in well equipped modern tool room.
• Preparing new Mould Tools for Production Maintenance.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in general toolmaking, milling, grinding and fitting.
• Experience in toolmaking, manual milling, turning, grinding, EDM Wire and spark erosion and fitting
• Understand and have experience of fitting and assembly of complex mould tools including their repair.
• Have the ability to work to tight time scales without compromising quality and safety.
• Candidate to have the ability to communicate well and be part of a team in a small business

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday (08:00 AM until 17:00 PM) and Friday (08:00 AM until 16:00 PM) (41.5 hours per week) (Overtime is consistently available)
