Procurement Coordinator – Coins experience required

£40,000 to £45,000 plus benefits

My client is a successful, well regarded construction company, they have four companies within their group and this role would be based in the Roofing and Cladding business.  This is a new role that has been created due to their continuous growth and need for a specialist. 

Duties:

Procurement and scheduling of products
• Ensuring purchases offer best value
• Monitoring and reporting of price increases, updating internal spread sheets.
• Tracking orders and proactively addressing any failed or late deliveries
• Arranging the return of non-conforming products
• Maintaining and developing the supply chain
• Identification of new products
• Processing of purchase ledger records
• Proven track record in best-value procurement ensuring timely on-time delivery in line with project programs and budget
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills to optimise pricing and commercial terms
• Review the credentials of potential new suppliers and ensure that suppliers are compliant
• Ability to forward plan for multiple site projects and prioritise workload across long-lead and real time demands
• Identify potential supply problems and solutions

Requirements of the Roofing and Cladding Buyer:
• Minimum 2 years Purchasing experience in roofing, cladding, or an aligned industry
• Experience and/or education in procurement and inventory management
• Working knowledge of computer programs for word processing, email, and spreadsheets. Coins experience preferred but not essential!
