Warehouse Operative | Oxfordshire | 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 13:30) | Salary will be depending on experience

As a Warehouse Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our client’s warehouse operations. You will be responsible for preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup, sorting, and placing products on racks, conducting stock checks, and ensuring the warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently.

  • Proven work experience in a warehouse role
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Office 365 required
  • Counter Balance Fork Lift license required but not essential

What will your role look like?

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, ship)
  • Sort and place products on racking
  • Carry out stock checks when required
  • Operate and provide preventive maintenance for warehouse vehicles and equipment
  • Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a fork lift truck
  • Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of products is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
  • Operate in a safe manner complying with all health & safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others
  • Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency
  • Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value
  • Respond quickly to ad-hoc requests (completing tasks within warehouse, H&S requirements, operational improvements)
  • Checking and reporting damaged stock to Warehouse  Manager
  • Reporting discrepancies with stock deliveries to Warehouse Manager
  • Report discrepancies with stock counts to Warehouse  Manager
  • Goods in received checks and booking in will be required via Sage 200
  • Perform warehouse reports and assessments in a timely manner
  • Label printing for dispatches may be required during busy periods
  • Internal and external telephone handling will be required
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers and transport companies may be required during busy periods
  • Documents and reports via Microsoft Office will be required ad-hoc to support Operational tasks
