Company Overview: Our client, a specialist refrigeration company catering to the food production industry, is actively seeking a proficient Commercial Refrigeration Maintenance Engineer to join their team. Known for their expertise in maintaining and installing commercial refrigeration systems, they offer a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering high-quality service and maintaining critical equipment.

Full Job Description: As a Commercial Refrigeration Maintenance Engineer with our client, you will be based at their site in the CH areas, performing planned service works, reactive maintenance, and leak testing on a variety of equipment, including chilled and frozen storage, air handling units, cooling tunnels, ice machines, and air conditioning systems.

Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Planned service and repair of small to medium commercial refrigeration systems.
  • Carrying out leak testing and repairs under the F-gas regulations.
  • Reactive maintenance on equipment, including electrical fault finding and repairs.
  • Based at the client's site in the North Wales and CH areas.

Requirements:

  • Proven refrigeration service and maintenance experience on medium commercial refrigeration systems.
  • Experience working on larger refrigeration systems, ice machines, air conditioning systems, and retrofitting old systems.
  • Experience and qualifications for working on electrical circuits and fault finding.
  • NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds equivalent in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
  • F-Gas 2079 - Cat1.
  • Based within a commutable distance to the client's site near Flint, Wrexham, Wirral.

Salary and Package: Our client offers a competitive basic salary ranging from £40,000 to £45,000 per year, depending on experience. This position does not require participation in a call-out rota or extensive overtime, making it ideal for an experienced engineer seeking a good work-life balance.
