As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and financial planning for the EMEA business. The FC will operate in a broad role covering technical accounting & control, through to financial planning & analysis and commerciality.

This role reports both into the Director of FP&A - with responsibilities pertaining to the EMEA business reporting and analytics - as well as into the TrueBlue Group Controller – with responsibilities for divisional reporting and control. You will manage four direct reports covering management accounts, payables, receivables & payroll.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Key member of the EMEA Finance Team with the following BAU responsibilities:
  • Management reporting & business partnering
  • Credit control & accounts receivable
  • Treasury, cashflow and payment approvals
  • Payroll
  • Accounts payable
  • Balance sheet review & SOX compliance
  • Financial reporting & control for Polish entity
  • Quarterly VAT reporting to HMRC
  • Lead a large and diverse team, managing direct reports and keep sub teams motivated and working optimally, acting as a positive role model within the function and wider business
  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process for the EMEA region
  • Be commercially minded, leading conversations on how to structure financial reporting such that the EMEA business' segment profit is accurately reported and reconciled to statutory profit
  • Contribute to commercial reviews of client margin & costs with view to driving profitability
  • Understand, advise on & implement Group accounting procedures, including but not limited to intercompany invoicing & eliminations, transfer pricing and cost centre accounting
  • Lead the year-end audit and corporation tax process for three UK entities, producing statutory accounts & corporation tax filings for each entity
  • Own external relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, software providers & technical consultants
  • Internal controls & control roadmap

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with strong academics
