Job Title: School Chef

Pay Rate: £16 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 2pm, Term times only.

About Us: 

SNS Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dedicated chef to join our team for one of our schools in Islington, London. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to providing nutritious and appealing meals to children in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals in accordance with menu plans and dietary requirements.
• Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Assist with menu planning and food ordering as needed.
• Adhere to all relevant food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Support the smooth operation of the kitchen and manage food stock effectively.

Essential Requirements:

1. Enhanced DBS Check: Essential. We can assist in obtaining this if you do not already have one.
2. NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation: Essential.
3. Level 2 in Food Hygiene: Essential. We can assist in obtaining this if you do not already have one.
4. Right to Work in the UK: Essential.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working in a school or nursery environment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
