SOFTWARE ENGINEERS x2 PLC CONTROL SYSTEMS – PERMANENT – WINFRITH Near Dorchester Dorset

•           Dorset Innovation Park, Winfrith near Dorchester RELOCATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE 

•           Permanent, full time (37 hours/ week)

My client is a leading provider of science and technology solutions to the UK Ministry of Defence, the Royal Navy, Merchant Navy and to other defence departments and corporate customers internationally. We offer complete solutions, from research through to product concept, design and development, manufacture and subsequent support.

To develop and maintain PLC control system software (C/C++ for embedded systems) and associated documentation.  Providing software development and test capability throughout the product lifecycle. To support the development of software and integration activities for solutions, products and systems within the maritime domain. And to independently manage control system development activities within a wider multidisciplinary team.

As a Software Engineer, you will work to recognised industry standards to produce innovative, high quality software products. You will engage in all aspects of the software development cycle from requirements elicitation through design, development, and test.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / PROVEN ABILITY

  • Rockwell PLC programming (Studio 5000) OR other Siemens, GE, ABB, Mitsubishi etc.
  • Full Lifecyle Software Programming C/C++ for embedded systems.
  • Requirements management (DOORS) or other.

ADDITIONAL SECURITY INFORMATION: You must be willing to undergo and attain SC Clearance.
