We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a refurbishment project, from inception through to completion. The role will require significant expertise in Groundworks and Reinforced Concrete (RC) Frames, as well as managing all site operations effectively. You’ll be responsible for setting up the site from the ground up and driving the project to meet timelines while ensuring the highest standards of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the project from groundworks and RC frame installation to the refurbishment phase.
  • Manage site activities from start to finish, ensuring the project stays on schedule and within budget.
  • Develop and run the construction program, coordinating work with subcontractors and the supply chain.
  • Enforce health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Lead and motivate the site team, ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates.
  • Manage the procurement and coordination of materials and supplies efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in Groundworks, RC Frames, and site management on large-scale projects, ideally including refurbishments on greenfield sites.
  • Strong experience in running construction programs from start to finish.
  • Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate the supply chain effectively.
  • A proven track record of managing successful projects, with a stable employment history 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS) are essentia
