About the Role:

As the Head of Solution Delivery, you will manage a talented team responsible for designing and delivering solutions across the IT function. You will oversee multiple projects, ensuring agile, scalable, and cost-effective delivery that supports strategic business objectives. Your role will be key in aligning IT solutions with business goals and ensuring smooth transitions from project delivery to support teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the IT solution delivery team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure projects are managed according to project management methodology, focusing on quality, risk, and performance.
  • Oversee the delivery of applications and services in a way that supports both strategic and operational needs.
  • Work closely with the PMO to manage team demand and prioritise resources effectively.
  • Utilise strategic partners for project resourcing when necessary.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure future IT demands are planned and met.
  • Ensure a seamless handover from delivery to support teams through service introduction and early-life support.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience in an IT solution delivery role, ideally in a fast-paced, agile organisation.
  • A track record of managing system changes with minimal business disruption.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in resource management, including utilisation and capacity planning.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in Project or Programme Management.
  • Knowledge of SaaS-based implementation.
  • Familiarity with IT budgeting, risk management, and vendor management.
  • Experience working within ITIL and/or ISO20000 environments.
