Role Overview:

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English lessons to students across various year groups. You will cultivate an appreciation for literature, enhance students' language skills, and prepare them for academic success.

Key Responsibilities as a English Teacher:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive English curriculum that meets national standards and engages students.
  • Create engaging lesson plans that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for English.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources, including technology, to enhance learning.
  • Provide additional support to students who need extra help or advanced challenges.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and any concerns.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and English teaching techniques.

Key Requirements As A English Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an English Teacher, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
