The Role

Our Engineer Schedulers (Controllers) lead a team of 5-6 trades people (roofers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers) and act as their main point of contact. Liaising with tenants, they raise property repair jobs and allocate to the correct trade.

Communication, organisation and problem-solving are some of the key skills required for this role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Running daily schedules for team of 5-6 trade Operatives (electricians, plumbers, etc)
  • Continually liaising with trade Operatives, tenants and clients (local authority or housing association) by phone, email and live chat regarding updates on repairs
  • Arranging parts or materials for click/collect where not available from usual suppliers
  • Logging multiple engineer work requests onto the in-house job management system and tracking each request through to completion

Essential Skills / Experience for this role:

  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to multi-task to manage a demanding workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent resource planning and administration skills
  • The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role scheduling routes and issuing jobs to engineers

The Details:

  • Full-time office-based position (no remote working)
  • Hours of work 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday
  • On a rota basis there is a requirement to work until 6pm once a month and 1 Saturday in 4 - both paid in addition to the salary
