Are you a person centred Team Leader, who enjoys leading a team to support vulnerable adults through their rehabilitation?

This Team Leader position could be the next fulfilling role for you!

The Team Leader role is a fabulous opportunity, for an experienced Senior Support Worker or Support Worker, ready to progress to the next level, to Team Leader.

You will manage Support Workers, to enable adults with brain injuries  to develop the necessary life skills to lead rewarding and independent lives.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader, to reap the reward of being involved  at a service where the residents are given specialist support.

This support will enable residents to move on to a more independent life.

Team Leader Role :

  • As a Team Leader, you are responsible for managing support workers in a service for adults with brain injuries.
  • Provide supervision and appraisals to Support Workers.
  • As a Team leader, you will create rotas, lead shifts and motivate support workers and delegate activities and life skills sessions.
  • Report to the Deputy Manager.
  • Liaise with families and health care professionals.
  • Encourage  support workers to enable service users to develop their independence and lead interesting lives.
  • To ensure person centred care is provided, care plans are followed and updated and CQC standards are met.
  • Encouraging service users to partake in local social and community events, including attending college and developing education, sporting activities such as swimming,  hobbies,  going to the cinema, theatre, meals in restaurants, pubs and social evenings etc


Team Leader Skills / Qualifications :

Ideally have NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care

Understanding of complex needs and mental health and brain injuries

Supervisory skills and experience - managing and training support workers

Willingness to work flexible hours.

Passion to provide excellent standard of care and enjoy providing opportunities to enable service users with learning disabilities to develop confidence and fulfil their potential
