Job Outline:

My client, who is a specialist Electronics Manufacturer, now seeks a Production Engineer from an Electronics background join their growing team.

Based within commuting distance of my client’s facility close to Derby/Nottingham, this role will report directly to the Head of Manufacturing.

The focus of this role will be to drive continuous improvement of all aspects of product manufacture, from best practice for solder joints to determining and implementing any necessary in-process functional testing.

You will provide high quality training to the manufacturing team where necessary, as well as defining and auditing standard operating procedures and work instructions.

In addition to this you will work closely with the design team to lead the implementation of new products into production (NPI).

You will also be deciding on, and ensuring compliance, with relevant manufacturing standards to demonstrate competence to my clients demanding customers, and to ensure continuous improvement.

This is a new position within the company. Working for the Head of Manufacturing.

Qualifications:

Its is expected that you will have a minimum of an HND or equivalent in electronic / electrical engineering or related area.

You should also be proactive and able to be highly autonomous. My client is a small, ambitious company so the flexibility to undertake a wide variety of tasks is essential.
