Factory Operative

This role is for an independent company that produces a food type product. We are looking for someone who is interested in how things work and in learning how to maintain and run machinery. This will be a hands on position learning new skills.
Your day-to-day duties as a Factory Operative will include:
- Working alongside the technicians and engineers to learn how the machines run
- Learning to do daily/weekly checks and basic preventative maintenance
- Assisting with machine changeovers
- Working within various production areas
The ideal Factory Operative candidate:
- Interested in learning to run and maintain production machinery
- A helpful nature, willing to work within all departments as required
- Physically fit and healthy
- Looking for long term permanent work
- Experience with basic mechanics or engineering would be an advantage
Pay rate and working hours:
- Starting salary of up to £25,350
- Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30
