Solution Designer - Operational Technology

£65,000 - £75,000 + benefits

Hybrid - 2 days per week in either Horley or Portsmouth offices

We are looking for a brilliant Solution Designer / Technical Designer / Solution Architect to join a market leading organisation. With over 85 years of experience behind them, this well-established company owns and manages critical national infrastructure and is engaging in a forward funded futureproofing program with enormous potential for growth.

We are looking for a Solution Designer who will work with the Architecture and Business Solutions teams to provide end to end solution designs. This will be at both a high and detailed level, for projects and programmes, taking account of business requirements, while ensuring solutions are aligned to in the technical & corporate strategies and are consistent with enterprise architectural roadmaps.

Key skills that you will need:

• Solutions Design, Architecture or Systems Analysis experience
• Experience in producing High Level / Detailed Designs for projects and programmes
• Experience of requirements management, process mapping and context diagrams
• Collaborative and a co-operative working style
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with peers, senior colleagues and Business Stakeholders
• A hands-on approach delivery focused with an emphasis on practical results.

Experience of working with operationally deployed technologies/OT, for example, security of IoT sensors, Edge Computing, Remote Terminal Units, Schneider and SCADA systems would also be useful here, as would working knowledge of cloud hosting technologies (particularly AWS).
