Quantity Surveyor
 
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a new role? I am recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a client in Wiltshire.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
·Oversee commercial activities related to highway maintenance works
·Assist in managing subcontractor accounts, including assessment of applications and issuing payment notices
·Produce and analyse cost and value reports against forecasts in collaboration with the Managing Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager
·Participate in monthly cost value reconciliation meetings with commercial and operational teams
·Ensure adherence to commercial guidelines and corporate protocols
·Support in the preparation of Early Warning Notices (EWNs) and Compensation Events (CEs)
·Administer Contractor/Subcontractor change control procedures
·Respond to Client audit queries and provide commercial information
·Price Compensation Events (CEs)
·Undertake site visits and measurements
·Provide ad hoc commercial support as required by the Managing Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager
Skills & Experience Required:
 
·Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
·Experience with Causeway Project Accounting and HIAMS is advantageous
·Strong experience working in highways maintenance, especially under NEC suite of Contracts
·Confident communicator, both written and verbal
·Excellent planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
·Ability to develop strong relationships at all levels
·A methodical and conscientious approach to workload
