Temporary History Teaching position in Salisbury school starting ASAP until Christmas  Position: History Teacher Location: Salisbury Start Date: ASAP until Christmas 2024 Contract: Short-Term (Immediate Start) Pay Range: £130 - £200 per day (depending on experience)  Hours: Full-Time, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a supportive Secondary School in Salisbury for a short-term position starting immediately and running until Christmas 2024. You will be teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, helping to ignite their interest in historical events and foster critical thinking skills. While no lesson planning is required, you will be expected to mark students' work during allocated PPA time.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver dynamic and engaging History lessons that captivate students and encourage a love for the subject.
  • Mark and assess student work during PPA time, providing constructive feedback to aid their academic progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, building strong relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to support student learning and contribute to the school's wider educational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a focus on History or related subjects.
  • Proven experience teaching History at the Secondary School level (Key Stage 3 and 4).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A dedication to student engagement and achievement.
