Are you passionate about helping students who face obstacles in mainstream education? Tradewind Recruitment is searching for caring and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) or Alternative Provisions in Leicester.

About Us:

As a Teaching Assistant in a PRU or Alternative Provision, you'll be instrumental in creating a positive and nurturing space for students who need additional guidance.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised one-to-one and small group assistance to students with varying needs.
  • Support the execution of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support frameworks.
  • Build meaningful, trust-based relationships with students, encouraging active engagement and academic growth.
  • Work closely with educators and specialists to ensure a collaborative, inclusive learning atmosphere.

  • Relevant Experience: Experience in a PRU or Alternative Provision is highly beneficial.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to the diverse needs and challenges faced by students in non-traditional educational settings.
  • Empathy: A patient and compassionate approach, with the ability to connect with students from different backgrounds.
  • Team Player: Strong collaborative skills, working effectively with teachers and other professionals to create a positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to get a new one, a new one costs £46 and we will pay you back the £46 once you have worked 20 days for us
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
