Join a leading food manufacturer in the Barnsley area, as Lead Site Engineering Manager. We're looking for a hands-on leader with a strong background in fast-paced food manufacturing, ready to manage a team of 9 engineers and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the site engineering team to achieve KPIs and business objectives
  • Manage budgets for maintenance, energy, utilities, and projects
  • Minimise downtime and drive root cause analysis for recurring issues
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, food quality, and operational standards
  • Drive continuous improvement and environmental/energy efficiency projects
  • Collaborate across departments to meet business goals
  • Oversee engineering personnel, including workload, training, and development
Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineering Manager in a food manufacturing environment
  • Level 3 qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop teams
  • Familiarity with CIP systems and compliance standards
