Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage the small works team from the ground up
- Drive business development and support company growth initiatives
- Oversee the logistical and operational needs of the region
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders
- Set objectives, targets, and responsibilities for team members
- Regularly review project timelines, budgets, labour requirements, and risk management
- Prepare and manage financial records and budgets
- Recommend and implement policy and procedure improvements
- Monitor performance against agreed KPIs and targets
- Ensure all contractual obligations are met
- Adhere to and enforce Health & Safety policies
- Resolve contract disputes and mitigate potential issues
- Motivate and inspire project teams to achieve outstanding results
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in small works construction management
- Proven leadership experience in managing contracts, teams, and project financials
- Strong business acumen and the ability to drive growth initiatives
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in IT systems
- Relevant construction-related qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS, etc.)
- Full UK driving license
