The School and Role

ABC Teachers is seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Supply Teacher to join a reputable secondary school in Moseley, Birmingham. This is a long-term position starting immediately, offering an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging Geography lessons to students aged 11-16. The successful candidate will teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Geography, ensuring all pupils are inspired to explore the world around them. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress regularly.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
  • Participate in school activities and contribute to the overall ethos of the school.

Requirements

The successful Geography Teacher will have;

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Specialism in Geography is essential.
  • Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to inspiring a love for Geography in young people.
  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
