Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to join our team in supporting an individual within our specialist supported living service who has complex mental health needs and a background in drug/alcohol misuse . Support with day to day activities which includes both tasks in and out of the home. The role involves providing personalised assistance to ensure the individual leads a fulfilling and independent life. Support required is in relation to budgeting daily money, staying safe in the community which will include emotional support and support to maintain a healthy and balanced diet.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist with daily living activities, which may include personal care, meal preparation, financial support and medication management.

· Support the individual in attending appointments and engaging in social and recreational activities.

· Help with household tasks such as cleaning, shopping, and laundry.

· Ensure the safety and well-being of the individual by following care plans and risk assessments.

· Promote independence and encourage the individual to make choices about their care and lifestyle

· Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the support team and family members.

Requirements:

· Previous mental health experience in a similar role is preferred.

· Previous experience in supporting individuals with a history of drug/alcohol misuse is desired

· A caring and patient attitude with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.

· A valid driver's license – be a confident driver and able to drive manual and automatic cars is desired
