About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and fully qualified Science Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the Witney, Oxfordshire area. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons across general Science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) to students aged 11-16. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and foster a love for science.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver dynamic, well-structured lessons that cater to a range of learning abilities.
• Teach general Science to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, following the national curriculum.
• Create a positive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
• Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support where necessary.
• Maintain high expectations for student behavior, using school policies to manage classroom conduct effectively.
• Collaborate with other teachers and the wider school staff to support the academic and personal development of all students.
• Prepare students for GCSE exams, ensuring they are confident and equipped with the knowledge to succeed.
• Participate in school meetings, parent evenings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• A degree in Science or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Science at the secondary level (Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4).
• Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A passion for teaching and inspiring young people to achieve their best.
