Job role: Workshop Engineer (Trainee Accepted)
Salary: £27,000-£30,000 pa (OTE - £35,000)
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Hours: 07.30-16.30 (40 hours) – Flexible start & finish  
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Company:

Interaction Technical have partnered with a bespoke access equipment manufacturer who specialise in creating bespoke metal balustrades and fixtures for the access industry. Due to growth the team are now looking to welcome a skilled workshop engineer or someone with previous engineering experience who is eager to learn all aspects on mechanical assembly.

• 30 days annual leave inclusive of public holidays
• Overtime rates 1.25x Midweek & 1.5x at weekends.
• Full training & development (if needed) on machining, TIG Welding, mechanical assembly and basic woodworking.

The Role:

• Manufacture & Assemble bespoke Aluminium structures for an array of blue chip clients for the access industry
• TIG Weld, Assemble, Machining (Cutting, Drilling) & use hand tools
• Work to drawing specifications (Metric, CAD design)
• Participate in training and development

The Requirements:

• Previous experience Welding (MIG or TIG), General Machining (Cutting, Drilling) would be advantageous
• Ability to read technical drawings would be advantageous
• Openness to learn & develop alongside a team
• Full UK Drivers License
• Previous use of handtools (drills, hammers etc)
