Role of Support Worker
Are you someone who genuinely cares about the well-being of others? Do you want to make a real difference in people's lives every day? We have a Special educational college based in Bromley for young adults aged 19-25 with Complex learning needs and disabilities, including physical, communication & sensory impairments who are seeking Temp-perm support workers Monday – Friday 08.30– 16.00.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for students with their learning plans and activities.
- Assist in the implementation of communication strategies for students with complex needs.
- Help support students’ physical and emotional needs, including personal care.
- Work closely with tutors and therapists to ensure consistent progress for students.
- Support students during external activities and community-based learning.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an HCA or support worker, must have a minimum of
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting young people with special needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- 6months plus in healthcare industry.
- Effective communication & interception skills
- Must have a child & adult DBS on update service.
