Join our client's customer-focused engineering team as a Shift Lead Engineer, where you'll play a key role in delivering top-tier building services maintenance.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective completion of both reactive and planned preventative maintenance activities, contributing directly to the smooth operation of our client's facilities.

Job Description

Supporting the Assistant Engineering Manager, you will oversee workflow for maintenance tasks, ensuring all activities are efficiently managed.

​Your strong customer care focus and commitment to excellence will drive team performance, helping us maintain our reputation for delivering class-leading services.

In addition to your core responsibilities, you'll supervise specialist sub-contractors and actively participate in the site's shift and call-out rota, ensuring 24/7 support for the facility.

Your leadership and technical expertise will be essential in creating a safe, well-maintained environment that meets the highest standards of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the efficient and timely completion of PPM and reactive tasks across the campus
  • Carry out fault finding and repairs on a range of M&E and HVAC systems and provide effective solutions
  • Prioritise scheduling of PPM and reactive work tasks in line with SLA’s whilst ensuring a high-quality service
  • Support the Assistant Engineering Manager with planned and reactive workflow activities ensuring timely close out and completion
  • Develop a detailed know ledge and understanding of the sites engineering systems
  • Become familiar with specialist campus control systems such as Siemens, Delmatic and Ventilux and proactively seek learning and development opportunities
  • Have a proactive approach in regard reporting and updating records to support site compliance
  • Support the delivery of small works and upgrade projects
  • Utilise the sites technologies and systems when carrying out duties

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Experience working in M&E building maintenance in high profile corporate environments
  • Experience working in critical environments desirable
  • Capable of fault finding and diagnostics on M&E and HVAC systems
  • Requires excellent teamwork, ownership and customer service skills
  • Must have a “can do attitude” and will be expected to positively contribute to the performance of the team through excellent communication skills
  • Ability to use IT systems and software
