Protyre Autocare is looking for a highly organised and focused Apprenticeship and Training Support Partner to serve as the primary contact for all college and apprenticeship providers that Protyre are partnered with for its’ apprenticeship and trainee programs. This position is crucial in providing support to apprentices, trainees, mentors, and management staff, ensuring that all parties receive the necessary guidance and training.

Acting as a liaison between Protyre Autocare and our current apprenticeship providers, you will facilitate new relationships with local colleges and support the training needs of our centre managers and mentors.  Supporting the Regional Technical Training team to enable the delivery and training of Protyre training modules and support all external and internal training pathways and qualifications. Provide support to apprentices, trainees, mentors, and management staff, ensuring that all parties receive the necessary guidance and training, ensuring apprentices and trainees are given adequate time for off-the-job learning and are given the correct level of learning at their centre.

  • Location: Field based - national travel is required for this role
  • Must have: Full UK Driving Licence

The Role:

  • Support the training needs of our centre managers and mentors
  • Support the planning and execution of programs such as the Protyre Technician and Apprentice of the Year.
  • Conduct due diligence checks on our centres to ensure they can adequately support apprentices, including the availability of qualified mentors.
  • Facilitate technical inductions for successful apprentices
  • Monitor apprentice attendance and progress, conducting visits to both colleges and Autocentres.
  • Select and train mentors to ensure they provide effective guidance and support to apprentices.
  • Support with the planning and delivery of promotional events at colleges and schools
  • Ensure delegates have been briefed and debriefed for their training event
  • Assist with the annual intake of apprentices, the training needs of Protyre Autocare colleagues and teams, LMS compliance, course attendance, starters’ probation, certification, course availability, plus ad-hoc requests

About you:

  • Experience of managing and prioritising own workload in a high volume, demanding environment with changing priorities
  • Able to deal with highly confidential information discreetly
  • Experience of building relationships effectively both face to face and over the telephone
  • Excellent coaching skills and effective questioning techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills and ability to hold challenging conversations in a way which leads to the desired outcomes
  • Experience of assessing and recruiting apprentices, college and apprenticeship processes and/or Automotive and training is desirable but not essential.
