They are seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to be a key contributor to their new energy team based in Gloucestershire. While this role is mainly home-based, there will be periodic visits to their office in Gloucester and customer sites across the south of the UK. This a critical role and as such the salary is open and will be dependant on experience and what you can bring to the role. Key Responsibilities for the Principal HVAC Engineer:

• Develop system design philosophy and basis for HVAC systems, ensuring alignment with functional, control, and operation philosophies.
• Evaluate natural/mechanical ventilation systems for energy efficiency.
• Perform airflow rate calculations based on ventilation requirements and heat emission.
• Select appropriate HVAC equipment for capacity and suitability.
• Calculate HVAC utility requirements.
• Provide input for Master Equipment Lists (MEL).
• Package Responsible Engineer (PRE), managing procurement, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Provide input for production of schematic drawings (2D/3D).
• Experience with FEED reports and detailed execution of project work.

About You:

• A BSc/Engineering degree in a relevant field, with experience in HVAC system design engineering in industries such as Utilities, Energy, or Construction.
• Strong understanding of project execution and delivery.
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Collaborative team player capable of working in an international environment.
• Technically adept with analytical skills and commercial awareness.
• Passionate about developing your expertise and delivering results.
