The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt of goods and deliveries, replenishment, pick, pack and processing of customer orders.

The daily operations can involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, stepping, reaching and lifting. Having a good range of mobility is important to ensure you can work safely within Health and Safety regulations and guidance without placing undue strain on your body.

The working pattern will be 09:00am to 17:00pm Monday and 09:00am to 16:45pm Tuesday to Friday, working a 39-hour week.

Key duties -

  • Carefully check, validate and process goods delivered to the warehouse ready for picking and packing aligning to set KPI’s
  • Accurately select and pack customer orders meeting set KPI’s for next day delivery
  • Replenish pick face locations as dictated by top up and requisition reports
  • Update all stock movements on the Warehouse Management System
  • Report any discovered stock discrepancies by means of the process laid down at the time
  • To operate lift truck equipment to unload, transport and locate stock throughout the warehouse environment (Trucks used onsite are electric rider operated pedestrian pallet truck PPT, Reach trucks and counterbalance). Not essential but desirable.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by undertaking housekeeping tasks during quiet periods.

What we need from you -

  • Current forklift truck license, or prepared to work towards gaining the correct license for Reach Truck, Counterbalance Truck and Rider Operated Truck
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced operations warehouse, particularly the picking, packing and replenishment of customer orders
  • Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel
  • Able to deal with the manual handling requirements of the role and capable of lifting boxes up to 15 kilograms
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and barcode scanner equipment is desirable but not essential
