 Senior Design Engineer – Architectural Metalwork & Ceilings

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join a leading manufacturer of high-quality metal ceilings and bespoke architectural metalwork. With installations in some of the most iconic buildings worldwide, our company is at the forefront of innovation, design, and technical acoustic expertise. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to world-class engineered solutions for commercial spaces across the globe.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Design Engineer:

  • Utilise the latest AutoCAD and Revit software to undertake design work, ensuring seamless product integration.
  • Mentor and train junior team members and apprentices, helping to build a strong, capable design team.
  • Conduct site surveys and attend factory visits and client meetings, representing the company in a professional manner.
  • Manage design-related documentation, from initial concepts through to final approval and issue of drawings.
  • Provide technical support and after-sales design assistance for installation teams and clients.
  • Collaborate closely with factory engineers and planners to ensure the effective production and delivery of products.
  • Maintain excellent communication, both written and verbal, while managing time and resources effectively.

Key Skills & Experience of the Senior Design Engineer:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of architectural details, specifications, standards, and compliance documentation.
  • Experience in leading and supporting design teams.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
  • A commitment to quality, safety, and environmental policies, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical details and offer innovative solutions.
