Dementia Care Manager

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join this Swaffham based care home as the Dementia Care Manager. You’ll play a vital role in the home, ensuring that your team provides the highest level of care, making sure every resident feels happy, healthy and supported.

Working 40 hours per week, an expectation of 4 supernumerary days and on call support. Core hours Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5pm but flexibility is required for occasional weekends.

Responsibilities:

• To be responsible for the day-to-day smooth running of the dementia unit.
• Support the care planning process, actively involving service users, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of all residents, whilst encouraging a homely and calm atmosphere.
• Stay updated on emergency procedures, equipment, and legislation.
• Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development.
• Abiding by CQC regulations, which includes reporting any breeches or areas of concern.
• Maintaining staffing budgets and ensuring audit schedules are adhered to.
• Prepare all direct care staff rotas for the care unit, ensuring service needs are always met.
• Work effectively with the General Manager to ensure all KPI’s are achieved across the units.
• Ensure that the team maintain a good working relationship.
