Credit Controller

Location: Malton, North Yorkshire

Type: Maternity Cover

Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience)

Hours: 08:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday

Our prestigious client, based in the charming town of Malton, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their esteemed team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a vibrant environment, ensuring the smooth operation of the credit control function.

Credit Controller Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the sales ledger, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts.
• Conduct credit checks on new customers and set credit limits.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare regular reports on credit control activities and debtor status.
• Liaise with internal departments to resolve queries and disputes.
• Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining positive relationships with clients.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage aged debtors.
• Implement and maintain credit control policies and procedures.
• Assist in month-end closing activities.
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.

To be considered for the Credit Controller position you must have;

• Proven experience in credit control or a similar financial role.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• SAP experience would be advantageous
