The Company: -   

Currently based in Dudley in the West Midlands, however, we will be relocating to our new premises in Worcester in 2 years, MiTek specialises in the development of software solutions for structural timber engineering and the provision of steel connector products for our floor and roofing systems. We also provide design services and a range of machinery for the timber engineering industry. Most recently MiTek has undergone an expansion into offering dedicated services, providing estimating, design, and drafting support to construction businesses and their supply chain.  

The Position: - 

Reporting directly to the UK Financial Controller, this role will assist in managing the day-to-day accounting and finance requirements of the business.   

The ideal candidate will have1-3 years of experience within a similar role. Confidentiality, excellent organisational skills, and accuracy are important attributes for this position, good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly.   

Responsibilities include:  

  • Credit Control
  • Raise invoices and credit notes into ERP System 
  • Balance and maintain accurate ledgers 
  • Correspond with customers relating to payments / issues
  • Allocation of customer payments and direct debit collections
  • Reviewing customer accounts
  • Setting up customer accounts and credit limits
  • Review / releasing of sales orders
  • Resolution of sales queries
  • Month-end support 
  • Ad hoc finance/administration tasks as necessary

 
Attributes we are looking for: -  

  • Good understanding of book-keeping and office practice 
  • 1 - 3 years of accounts experience  
  • Experience in data entry, record keeping 
  • Working knowledge of financial controls  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Experienced user of MS Products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities 
  • Commercially aware
  • Open growth mindset
