T&K Associates have a really exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Client based in Coalville on a permanent basis.

Our Client is a leading Company within their industry and primarily deal with the new build housing market.

The primary goal of the Business Development Manager is to develop existing relationships with a network of builders and proactively bring in new business.  The BDM will seek opportunities not only in the new build housing market but also in sectors such as: holiday parks, Buy to let and retirement living.

The role is remote-based with significant travel required to visit builders at their offices and sites, along with occasional visits to head office.

*The Company is currently Coalville based, however will be moving to new premises in Castle Donington early 2025*

Business Development Manager Job Responsibilities;

  • Actively visit and book meetings with the commercial teams of builders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing builders in the network
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with new builders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the internal support team and manufacturers partners
  • Focus on target regions: Eastern Region, Midlands and South East
  • Achieve annual sales targets, contributing to the overall sales team goal

Business Development Manager Person Specification;

  • Strong background in an external sales role is preferred however full training will be provided to someone that has transferrable skills and is hungry to start a new career
  •  Personable, trustworthy and having a robust work ethic
  • Experience in the distribution industry or housing market is favourable
  • Key skills include excellent work ethic, strong networking abilities, commercial acumen, organisation and reliability
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Flexible in hours and happy to travel to Clients sites
  • Valid driver’s license
