Jonathan Lee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join a global Defence manufacturer. This full-time Quality inspection role is based in Stockport and is a permanent position. The role comes with a salary of 40-45k plus excellent benefits. 

As a Quality Inspector, you will specifically carry out the inspection of both piece parts and assemblies using a Faro Measurement arm and also be required to operate and assist with final inspection using CMM machines operated by Polyworks, Calypso or CAM2M10 software. 

In your first few weeks in this Quality Inspection role, you can expect to:

• Set-up and operate metrology equipment including conventional coordinate measuring machines and/or portable articulating arm coordinate measuring machines (e.g. Faro).
• Perform mechanical inspection and alignment of precision assemblies on in-house as well as vendor produced mechanical components.
• Utilise and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing Standards
• Read and interpret elementary engineering drawings in order to be able to properly set-up parts/assemblies for CMM measurement.
• Clearly and effectively report measurement results to stakeholders.
• Support and organise dimensional PPAP documentation to customer approval.
• Document and evaluate historical data to determine calibration intervals
• Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures.

To apply for this Quality Inspection role, you will need working knowledge of Polyworks, Calypso or CAM2M10. You will also require the following:

• Experience with using FaroArm machines 
• Be able to use basic measuring tools such as callipers, micrometers, and dial indicators and apply proper tool selection for optimal measurement
• Demonstrated knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards (such as ASME Y14.5M and/or ISO 1101)

In return for your skill set you'll receive a salary of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum and be joining a welcoming and inclusive culture.
