The Role:

As a Machine Operator, you’ll be at the heart of the production process, responsible for the setup, operation, and precision of key machinery to ensure flawless output. This role is ideal for someone with a proactive mindset and the technical skills to ensure machinery is operating at optimal levels.

What You’ll Do:

1. Machine Setup:  

• Prepare and configure equipment for production cycles.
• Calibrate, clean, and set up machines to begin the production process.

2. Control and Adjust:  

• Monitor and adjust machine settings, such as speed, to ensure high-quality output and efficiency.
• React to any machine irregularities by making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance.

3. Feed Raw Materials:  

• Feed raw materials or components into the machines, adhering to strict procedures for consistency and accuracy.

4. Inspect with Precision:  

• Use measuring tools like calipers and micrometers to inspect parts for accuracy.
• Ensure parts are produced to exact specifications to avoid defects.

5. Testing and Troubleshooting:

• Periodically test machine operations, identifying and resolving any technical issues promptly to prevent downtime.

6. Quality Control:

• Check and review output for mistakes or flaws, maintaining records of approved and defective units.
• Ensure the highest quality standards are met at all times.

7. Log Keeping:  

• Maintain detailed activity logs, documenting production data, machine performance, and any incidents during your shift.

Requirements:  

• Proven experience as a Machine Operator within a high-speed production environment.  
• Familiarity with various machinery and measuring tools (such as calipers and micrometers).  
• Solid understanding of production procedures.  
• Ability to adhere to health and safety regulations and use protective gear.  
• Strong ability to read job cards, technical drawings, and other production documents.  
• Analytical skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and effective communication skills.  
• Physical stamina and strength for prolonged standing and machinery operation.
