Site Manager

£55,000-£65,000 

A bespoke and unique house builder based in Cornwall are searching for a Site Manager to join a new housing development just outside of Exeter.

The preferred candidate would have been awarded a Pride in the Job or equivalent in the past. My client pride themselves on ensuring they have the regions very best Managers, Subcontractors and labour on site to build quality homes, this site will be no different.

Reporting to the Build Manager, you will take responsibility for managing all aspects of construction alongside an experienced site team.

Principal responsibilities:

• Manage the day to day running of the development and provide clear direction including targets and progress.
• Manage and implement health and safety procedures, ensuring all aspects are followed and adhered too.
• Support and motivate directly employed site staff by way of toolbox talks, training and support regarding their performance.
• Fully conform to building regulations and warranty providers requirements.
• Ensure that adequate site records are maintained including timesheets for agency staff, reports, labour requirements, plant and material.

Experience, qualifications & skills required:

• Must hold SMSTS, First Aid at Work & CSCS card.
• Experience working on volume housing as a No.1 Site Manager.
• Experience of effectively managing teams.
• Must be IT literate.
• Up to date knowledge of HSE & building legislation.
