Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

The company work on a variety of projects in the industrial, residential, commercial, leisure and sport sectors with projects ranging in value from £10m - £300m and due to the growth within the business and their continued success they are now looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Manchester.

The role - Assistant Quantity Surveyor

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will be working within an established team and will report into the Project QS & Senior QS on site. The initial project is a £12m industrial unit in Manchester and you will be responsible for the following duties & responsibilities:

• Assist in the timely preparation of valuations, submissions of invoices and receipt of payment
• Assist in the prompt preparation and settlement of final accounts
• Develop an understanding of principle unit costs of resources
• Procure materials and off site services in an efficient manner

• Develop an understanding of the importance of the supply chain to deliver continuous improvement in terms of time, cost, quality and learning of all parties
• Contribute to the production of accurate and timely CVR reports and forecast
• Develop an understanding of the need for accurate and robust reporting structures
• Adhere to subcontract change control procedures
• Support the preparation of all necessary subcontract notices accurately and on time

Required experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor?

• Have a degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Previous main contracting experience would be preferred
• Good commercial acumen
• Good attention to detail
