English Teacher (Mainstream Secondary School)

Are you a passionate English teacher looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential for a permanent role?

We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join a lovely, welcoming, and motivated secondary school in Newham. This position is to start after October Half term.



Position: English Teacher (Long-Term to Permanent)

  • Location: Newham
  • Pay Rate: £150 to £230 per day (umbrella)
  • Qualifications: Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Contract: Long-term position with the potential to become permanent


Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons that cater to a range of student abilities.
  • Supporting students in developing their language, literature, and communication skills.
  • Maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment.


What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS and a strong background in teaching English.
  • Enthusiastic about fostering a love for literature and language.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.
