Flourish Education is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work within a small village primary school in Malvern, to join their team on a part-time basis. The school is rated ‘good’ by OFSTED, with a recent report starting that; ‘Staff enjoy their jobs and are proud to be members of staff. They feel well supported and appreciate steps taken by leaders to reduce their workload’

You will be working on a part-time basis within a Year 2 class. The successful Teaching Assistant will have relevant experience and a secure understanding of the KS1 curriculum. The school are looking to improve outcomes in reading and writing, and so previous experience of teaching phonics or supporting phonics intervention groups would be of an advantage.

We are looking for a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant for an immediate start. This is a long-term position and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience of supporting children within KS1
• Experience of teaching or supporting Phonics lessons
• Committed to a long-term post (Until the end of the academic year)
