Job Title: Software Team Leader – Embedded
Location: Chelmsford
Salary: £65,000 to £75,000 basic + benefits

My client is a well-established company that designs and manufactures a range of products used in a wide variety of applications and industries.
The Software Team Leader – Embedded, will have a strong background in embedded software development with experience in embedded C.
In this role of Software Team Leader – Embedded you will be predominantly hands-on in terms of writing code, reviewing code, white board problem solving etc. You will spend 20% of your time will be spent supporting/upskilling and providing technical leadership to the software team.
Responsibilities and Technical Skills required for the Software Team Leader – Embedded position:
- Hands on programming in embedded C
- Experience working on low level embedded software on an operating system
- Make high level design decisions. Coordinate the software team to define and advise on suitable software life cycles and processes comprising of software architectural design, software detail design, software implementation guidelines, configuration management and validation and verification of software.
- Conduct detailed reviews and reports on all aspects of the software lifecycle.
This role is ideal for a skilled engineer who has advanced to the level of Principal, Lead or Chief Engineer and has taken on additional responsibilities within their team beyond software development
This role offers hybrid working on a weekly basis.
