We are looking for a Payroll Assistant  to join the head office team based in in Edgbaston, Birmingham for a UK wide company with 2500 employees.
 
  • Monday – Friday 08:30 to 17:00
  • Opportunity for Hybrid working – 3 days per week in the office
  • No bank holiday working required
  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) plus your birthday day off

As a Payroll Assistant, you will be joining a fantastic team of 3 where you will support be all payroll administration activities to complete both month end & year end payroll activities whilst maintaining compliance with internal and statutory requirements.

For our Payroll Assistant , this is an exciting role where you will join an experienced team , get involved with companywide projects and using our inhouse system to set up and manage new employee details. Our payroll team are working in a fast-paced environment where you will need to have great attention to detail to maintain accuracy in your work.

As a Payroll Assistant you will support our colleagues with payroll queries mainly over the phone call or emails , these calls could be about any part of the payroll process, so you will need to be a personable communicator with great problem-solving skills.

Payroll Assistant – Experience & Attributes:

  • Experience of working with large payrolls
  • Good knowledge of legislation and statutory regulations
  • Great communications skills and a solution-oriented mindset
  • A flexible approach and an ability to work under pressure
  • Experience using ResourceLink (Zellis) is highly advantageous
