Financial Controller | Derbyshire | £70-80,000 + bens
We are working with a rapidly expanding company who are looking for a dynamic and commercially-minded Financial Controller to join the Senior Leadership team. This role will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy of the company.
As Financial Controller, you will provide high-quality financial management to senior stakeholders, including the Head of Finance, Finance Director, and Managing Director. You will be responsible for end-to-end financial reporting, cash management, and internal controls to maximize profit and ensure financial stability. Leading a team of finance professionals, you will drive excellence in all aspects of financial governance, ensuring that business performance is effectively communicated and understood across all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* You will prepare and consolidate financial reporting across business units, ensuring accuracy and clarity for senior management.
* You will control the balance sheet to ensure it reflects the true financial position of the business.
* You will manage bank accounts, relationships, and cash flow forecasting in partnership with the Finance Director.
* You will oversee and enhance the internal control environment, identifying and implementing improvements.
* You will manage taxation matters such as corporation tax, VAT, and CIS.
* You will lead financial management services for central functions, including budgets, forecasts, and performance reviews.
* You will ensure successful delivery of compliance processes, such as audits.
* You will provide effective leadership and development to the Finance Manager and Finance Assistant.
Who the Client is looking for:
* Qualified Accountant ACCA, ACA, CIMA
* You must have a strong commercial acumen and be experienced in central finance functions.
* You will be proactive, resilient, and skilled in managing complex financial reporting and control environments.
* Be able to influence across departments and play a pivotal role in driving profit and cash improvements.
* Proficient in ERP systems and financial reporting processes along with expertise in Microsoft Office tools, with strong planning and organizational skills
