Grinding Operative

£15.00 - £16.00 per hour

Southampton Outskirts (parking available on site, also close transport links)

Temporary to permanent

37.5 hours per week (Days - Monday to Friday), plus the opportunity to work overtime at time and a half! Core hours: 07:30 - 17:00, flexi time available.

Once permanent, benefits include 25 days holiday, plus Bank holidays.

Due to expansion, we are looking for a skilled Grinding Operative to join our client in their busy engineering department. This is a great opportunity for the right person to join a well-established family run business with very low staff turnover.

The role;
* You will be responsible for operating grinding machines to shape, sharpen and smooth the product.
* Involves Cylindrical grinding, Surface Grinders and working with Tools and cutters to suit exact client requirements.
* Must be able to carryout a repetitive role whilst maintaining attention to detail.
* To be successful in this role, you will need experience in all of the above-mentioned areas.
Please note: Our client is not looking for a CNC setter, operator or programmer.
